MTS @ INSECT WEEK, 25 and 26 July 2009 from 12 noon to 6 pm.
Do come and join the fun :D Cool, got one more off my chest. Been busy with work as of late, sacrificing some of my sleep time to meddle with the website a little so at least there is some progress.
I know so far I have done nothing to add useful content like care sheets or any tarantula related articles like i say i should but I do not have the time yet to write or compile any, so if any of you out there willing to try writing a care sheet or a tarantula related article, don't be shy do go ahead and give it a try.
over the week I've changed the picture gallery to something else, still not too happy about the picture gallery because of the bad navigation. I didn't manage to get a plugin to work as well but I'm leaving it as it is now until I can find a better gallery component.
Added a few member blog links under the link button including my own blog, I know it's vain but I think it'll be cool to have a few members blog link in the website. Consider it as part of the link exchange program and also a members interaction effort.
Already updated the contact list as well, also PMed a few website/forum admin for link exchange. gonna ask a few more and see if they are really interested, gotta pick em properly because I don't really want to be supporting people or organizations that abuse animals for their own profit. |

Back from my trip and was scouting around looking for bugs on the website and managed to find one while uploading some pictures in the tarantula gallery, haven't really work on getting it away but I'll have those pictures removed first and then figure it out later.
It ain't easy setting all these up and trying to fix em one at a time specially for someone with limited knowledge in Web Applications. |

Done some major changes from where I stopped last night, added a new banner, and a Link button under Resources and figure out the picture gallery upload error that I was facing last night. I've also got a reply from the hosting company about the weird files and they have fixed it, I think I've done enough for today still, there is much to do still... like linking the forum with the CMS.
Considering removing the newsflash and swapping it with a banner from another link as a part of a Link Exchange Program.
Will continue working again when I can. |

At last! I've back up the old website and manage to get the new one Live! From installation, configuration and to this point all in a week time.
Initially I thought that this task is impossible, I mean to get this whole thing up so soon specially when I'm actually a first time user of a CMS like Joomla!.
The fact that I was feeling unwell at the time I'm setting it all up actually helps me get thing done much quicker then I presume, can't believe that I actually gone to the clinic in fear of getting H1N1 as I was showing some symptoms of the sickness.
Now that this is up, more thing has to be done. I'm actually hoping to accomplish a few things with this website, they are: 1. Increase the number of content like article and care sheets 2. Linking The CMS's Database with the Forum's 3. Link exchange with other related websites Other then that, I've finally managed to pick a few guys to help me run the show on MTS, Leetplayer aka Andrew as MTS Penang State Representive, Ryokezaki aka Ryo as Golbal Admin for the Forum (another defends for the pesky adverts) and freeloader aka Kenn as Vice President.
I have more plans in my mind and will be taking some serious actions to make thing work.
Oh! I'm expecting a NEW MTS T-shirt design soon too :) |

Finally managed to get the picture gallery up and running, still have some glitches here and there.
Will need to call up the hosting company to check on the forum for a bit since there are many very unusual files in it.
